S40 tokens are the internal currency of our ecosystem. You earn 1,000 S40 tokens immediately upon verifying your academic identity (e.g., via ORCID, Google Scholar, or an institutional email). You can use these tokens to access premium features, such as "renting a scientist" for specialized consultations or upgrading your project for AI due diligence.
Protecting Your Work
IP protection is our highest priority. You retain full ownership of all your research, data, and patents. When you upload unpublished or sensitive data, it is kept strictly confidential. It is only shared with vetted Venture Capitalists or Match Makers if you explicitly choose to seek capital and authorize its release through Deal Room 40.

Deal Room 40 is the transaction layer built on top of Science 4.0. It connects credentialed research projects with serious deep-tech venture capital. When your research reaches a stage where it's ready for commercialization or spin-out, Deal Room 40 is the bridge to funding.
VCs often struggle to evaluate complex deep-tech. Our URSA AI engine translates your science into a language investors understand. It analyzes your publications, maps your patents against the global landscape (the "Double Helix"), and generates a Research Credibility Score (RSC). This provides VCs with objective, third-party validation of your technology, significantly increasing your chances of securing funding.
While the core Science 4.0 tools are free, the URSA AI Diligence Engine and direct exposure to the Deal Room 40 VC network is a premium service. You can pay for this upgrade either via a standard fee or by using the S40 tokens you've earned within the ecosystem.
Match Makers are vetted domain experts and brokers within our network. You don't need one, but they can be highly valuable. A Match Maker can sponsor your project, guide you through the AI diligence process, and use their established relationships to present your project directly to the right VCs. They operate on a success fee model — meaning they only get paid if you successfully secure funding.
